WE WILL REBUILD
In Good Company Hospitality would like to thank everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped to spread the word about the In Good Company Hospitality Relief Fund. We have closed the fund for contributions at this time, as we focus on putting your heartfelt donations to good use. Through an amazing outpouring of support we were able to raise over $150,000 in one month, every penny of which has been allocated to help rebuild the Rockaway Peninsula & Broad Channel. We thank you for your continued support on the longe road ahead, and hope to see you all back on the beach this summer.
WHO ARE WE?
In Good Company Hospitality owns and operates six venues throughout New York City including Bungalow Bar & Restaurant in Rockaway Queens. Our ownership, staff, and many of our clientele are part of the coastal communities that were hardest hit by hurricane Sandy. Following the storm many homes and business in the area were completely lost if not irreparably damaged, and many people were in need of immediate assistance. Following a lack of response on the part of federal disaster relief agencies this fund was created to help connect those looking to help, directly with those in the greatest need. The outcome was an overwhelming display of support in the form of donations, volunteers, thoughts and prayers, and over $150,000 raised in three short weeks.
HOW ARE THE FUNDS BEING DISTRIBUTED?
100% of donated funds were allocated directly to local charities and community organizations working on the ground in Rockaway, Broad Channel, and Breezy Point. Funds were distributed to the Breezy Point Relief Fund, the Catholic Charities of San Diego, and also to individual families in great need.
